BECOMING AN ARTIST

After the outdoor concert I went to last night (Crystal Fighters and Cut Copy where playing) I've set a new (challenging) goal: becoming an artist.
Yes. That's it, I'm seeking for a chance of making or joining a band this summer. I've been a classical piano player since 12 years now, I believe it's time for me to go for something different. At least, I'm about to begin my day creating some new music.

Hopefully, I'll do it allright.

These are some hits I enjoyed last night. Enjoy them:

THESE OLD SHOES

TIME FOR REFLECTION

I'm (still) finding myself. I'm trying to figure out my ideologies, my lifestyle, how I really want to confront life. That's why I see it absolutely necessary to start setting some goals.

Time for reflection then...

LOVELY

"Learn to say 'I love you' more often. It feels good, really good."

Too appropriate for tonight:

WAKEY! WAKEY!

(no, it's not a "wakey! wakey!" song)
Nothing better than a 30-minute-jogging on the beach at 8 a.m. Not too bad waking up early for this.

This is my favourite workout song for today:

LIKE IT

SUMMER IS TONIGHT

I believe time goes by so fast that we are pushed to making plans; plans for tonight, or maybe long-term plans. We should never forget the importance of words like now, today, 'cause that's what really matters.

Well, I guess I'm the type of girl who enjoys daydreaming all the time. I love making plans. Imagining what I will be up to in my life as a college student, as a worker (majored in some type engineering, hopefully), or how great my marriage (as well as my new family) is going to be, fulfills me. But it also makes me want to rush till that period of my life. Honestly, at the end, I know
I'm constantly telling to myself, "That's not how you do it, girl. You'd better want to focus on your everyday life, before you realize it's too late". It sounds like a cliché, I know.

So there I was, planning the next few hours I was about to spend with my boyfriend. We finally decided to finish writing down our plans for vacation next month. More planning, yes. I' can't wait to traveling together. I dearly want this first journey together to be perfect. But, wait. Wait a second. Why would I keep on daydreaming about my future if the thing I love the most in the world (my boyfriend) was right there? We preferred taking away a couple of Turkish Durüm and sitting by the beach. It felt awesomely great. It was just the sound of the breakers, the (not to healthy but really tempting) food, and us.
All of a sudden, I understood what it felt like to feel alive.
It's summer, no commitments, no worries. Just him and me (well, and the world around us).
Happiness, that's the word.

I guess this is summer!

RAINY SUMMER

RAIN GIRL, BANKSY

Summer wouldn't be the same without those rainy days. Great moments for those (like me) who can catch the feeling of being alive.

"Some people feel the rain. Others just get wet." Bob Marley

2. Mange - Deer Tick

SURFING TAI CHI

Let the Chi flow early in the morning
TAI CHI STRECHING (BEFORE SURFING)

There are particular parallels which I have found between Tai Chi and Surfing.
Primarily, these are focus, breath control, control of the body and a sense of calm.

“Let gravity do the work” — a force much more powerful than your own strength.
